Senior Manager, Academic Development
Interventional and Surgical Cardiology, Congenital and Structural Pathologies
With St. Jude Medical since 1998.
Robert (Bob) Foree is responsible for educational initiatives focused on interventional/surgical fellowships and cardiac congenital/structural pathologies.
Before becoming a full-time industry educator, Bob was a registered nurse specializing in medical-surgical, emergency medicine and critical care. During his hospital career, he led the design, development and protocols of an interventional cardiac-peripheral lab, from beginning concept to first procedure. His management within the Upstate New York organ recovery and transplantation network grew the compliance for organ donation from 40 percent to nearly 100 percent in less than two years.
Over a distinguished 30-year career in health care, Bob has become a published author, educator, trainer and project/program manager. His influence has reached across multiple cardiac disciplines. His notable contributions include a sizable role in the development and execution of our intern training program, leadership in multiple product launch initiatives, educational program content development and one-on-one mentoring with physicians and industry representatives.
Bob’s simple, effective communication style and creative leadership have allowed him to collaborate extensively across St Jude Medical and on a national scale. He is an advisor and consultant to the educational councils for cardio-thoracic surgery and interventional cardiology, including the Joint Council for Thoracic Surgery Education, The Thoracic Surgery Directors Association and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention.
Bob’s family includes his wife, three children and six grandchildren. A longtime resident of Syracuse, NY, Bob prefers the simple pleasures of golf, cooking and fine wine.
